On October 23rd, 2024, we had the privilege of setting up four tombstones for Indigenous veterans who served in WWI and WWII, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Northern Monumental staff.
At the Old Tache Cemetery, we honoured Keom Basil from Tl'azt'en Nation, with members of Tl’azt’en Nation present to pay their respects.
At Nak’azdli Cemetery, we laid the tombstones for George Todd, Ananie Prince, and Emile Lawrence, surrounded by their loving family members.
We also invited Jared as our videographer to capture these moments, creating a video that will be showcased during the Indigenous Veterans Day ceremony on November 8th.
We look forward to seeing you all at the ceremony as we honour our brave veterans!
