About Nak'azdli Elders Society
The Nak’azdli Elders Society is a dedicated group committed to supporting and uplifting Elders. The Society provides a welcoming space where Elders can gather, connect, and share their wisdom and experiences in a respectful and inclusive environment.
The Society strengthens community connections among Elders through regular gatherings, meetings, fundraising activities, and an annual Elders trip. The Society proudly owns and maintains the Nak’azdli Elders Centre, a place where Elders, families, and youth come together for fellowship, laughter, and community engagement.
The Nak’azdli Elders Society organizes monthly meetings held on the second Tuesday of each month, and Friday night bingos with bake sale table and raffle, which help fund community initiatives, maintain the Elders Centre and the annual Elders trip. These activities foster social connection, mutual support, and a sense of belonging.
While the Society works closely with the Nak’azdli Whut’en Growing with Guidance Coordinator, who provides inter-generational wellness-based services and activities, the Society itself focuses on community building, fundraising, and advocacy for Elders’ interests.
We invite all Elders to participate, share their voices, and continue strengthening our community’s foundation through unity, respect, and collaboration.
